Cruachan Aí Education Programme. The Cruachan Aí Visitor Centre assists pupils and teachers in exploring the many aspects of our Celtic past in imaginative and insightful ways. Our Education Programme is adaptive, to meet the needs of students, taking into consideration their age, abilities and interests. It is based on the new National Curriculum, and is relevant to a broad range of topics dealt with therein, covering several subject areas such as history, geography, art, mythology, etc. As there is so much potential material to deal with, our Programme is updated every year, so there is always a fresh project for students and teachers to tackle. While it is more suited to ages 9+, there is also plenty to keep younger children's imaginations fired. Through worksheets, quizzes, stories, interactive drama, map work, word games, guided tours, art workshops, etc. the programme is rich and varied and can be altered to meet special requirements and to fit in with on-going school projects. It can also be adapted to meet time schedules, although we recommend that at least one hour be allowed. |
